History
In 2004 the former "Miestprojektas" became BLC. The first A-class business centre that meets international standards, BUSINESS LEADERS CENTER (BLC), was opened in Kaunas, near the Vienybės square. To the reconstruction of "Miestprojektas" (Institute of Urban planning) building, built in 1975, were invested 16 million litas.
In 2015 SBA Group acquired "Pramprojektas". A business park of 12,555 sq. m in total, known as "Pramprojektas" (State designing company) and built in 1966, is planned to be transformed to A-class business centre and to be enlarged to 14,000 sq. m.
The reconstruction works of "Pramprojektas" and Vienybės square started in 2017. The project was drafted by the team of architects led by Rimantas Giedraitis and the "3delux" team of German architects. SBA Group's company "Urban Inventors" invested more than 10 million euros in the reconstruction of the square and 20 million euros in the new business centre.
The new BLC Business Centre is scheduled for opening in 2019. In the first quarter of the year the first tenants will be located in the new building of BLC complex.
The reconstruction works of the new BLC Business Centre and Vienybė square are planned to be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2019.
